Owen Wilson’s golf comedy is having a major moment on streaming. The hit series returned with new episodes and immediately claimed the No. 1 spot on its platform, proving the show’s popularity has only grown since its debut season.
Stick Season 2 brings Owen Wilson series on top of Apple TV charts
Stick Season 2 has propelled the Owen Wilson-led dramedy to the top of Apple TV’s charts. According to FlixPatrol data for November 5, 2026, Stick claimed the No. 1 spot on Apple TV’s Top 10 TV Shows in the United States. The series also ranked No. 1 on Apple TV’s Overall chart via Amazon Channels.
The second season premiered with two episodes on November 4. It follows Pryce Cahill as he pursues an unlikely comeback in professional golf. Season 1 focused on Pryce mentoring young golf phenom Santi, played by Peter Dager.
Wilson described the shift in his character’s arc during an October 2026 interview with HeyUGuys. “It’s a little bit like that A Star Is Born story,” he said. “Santi is kind of now flourishing, and … there’s not much for me to do.” He added that Timothy Olyphant’s character Clark “kind of puts it in my head, the idea [of] what could I have been.”
The season’s logline reveals that Pryce “does something nobody expects: he bets on himself.” He launches a comeback “in hopes of becoming the oldest golfer ever to win a major.” However, “the road back proves far harder than he imagined.”
Showrunner Jason Keller elaborated on Pryce’s journey in an October 2026 interview with Sports Illustrated. “He asks the question: Was I as good as everybody said I was, and if that’s true, do I still have it?” Keller said.
Season 2 has 10 episodes, matching the first season’s count. New installments drop weekly on Wednesdays through the finale on December 30. Wilson also serves as an executive producer on the Apple TV series. Marc Maron and Timothy Olyphant also star in the second season alongside Wilson and Dager.
