A popular actor from the 2026 horror blockbuster Obsession has joined the cast of an upcoming mystery thriller. Directed by Adam Rehmeier, the movie will also feature Jessica Rothe, Mika Abdalla, and others.

Cooper Tomlinson has joined Rehmeier’s new thriller Seeker. He recently starred as Ian in Curry Barker’s indie film, Obsession. Produced on a $1 million budget, the critically acclaimed movie grossed over $520 million worldwide. He is set to appear in Barker’s next horror film, Anything But Ghosts.

Jessica Rothe is known for her role in Boy Kills World and the Happy Death Day franchise. She will next appear in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse’s River, opposite Jane Levy. Abdalla is known for her breakout role as Allie in Prime Video’s Off Campus.

Adam Rehmeier’s Seeker brings together a familiar creative team and a mystery with a disturbing twist

Seeker will reunite director Adam Rehmeier with actress Mika Abdalla. She previously worked with him on the 2024 coming-of-age summer comedy, Snack Shack. The film received mostly positive reviews from both critics and fans.

The plot of Seeker will follow Cooper Tomlinson’s character, Grant, who is struggling to cope with his fiancée Caroline’s sudden disappearance. Abdalla will play the role of Caroline. The official description of the mystery thriller further reads, “Now a ride-share driver, his life is upended when he picks up a passenger who he is convinced is responsible for her disappearance. What starts as a tense game of cat-and-mouse spirals into something far stranger, more disturbing, and deeply unhinged – challenging everything we think we know.”

The movie will also include two characters, Steve and Kate, but their actors have not yet been confirmed. Alex Lebovici and Michael Learner are serving as the producers, alongside Academy Award winner Adam McKay, two-time Emmy nominee Todd Schulman, Noah Centineo, and Enzo Marc. Samuel Hall and Warren Goz will executive produce, alongside Ibrahim Mohammed, Yasmyne Mohammed, and Chase Vergari. The production will kick off in January 2027 in Washington State, United States. The film is fully financed by Hammerstone Studios and Script 2 Screen, with north.five.six. representing international distribution rights.

Seeker has yet to receive an official release date.
