Milania Giudice is mourning the loss of her longtime best friend, Victoria Zardoya, who died following a tragic fall in Florida. Now, a toxicology report has revealed that several substances, including ketamine, were present in the 20-year-old’s system. However, the findings do not establish whether any of them contributed to the accident.
Victoria Zardoya’s toxicology report reveals ketamine and other substances after fatal fall
According to the medical examiner’s report obtained by TMZ, Zardoya’s blood tested positive for ketamine and norketamine, a substance produced when the body breaks down ketamine.
The toxicology results also showed alcohol and etomidate, a medication commonly used for sedation. Medical examiners collected the blood sample on July 24, the day Zardoya suffered her fatal injuries.
TMZ previously reported that Zardoya was exploring the historic Fort Dade ruins on Florida’s Egmont Key with friends when she fell. She was transported to a hospital but died from her injuries on July 26.
The medical examiner identified craniocerebral trauma as the cause of her death. The autopsy documented serious head injuries, including skull fractures and bleeding around the brain. Authorities ruled her death accidental.
However, the report does not specify when or why the substances entered Zardoya’s system. It also does not establish whether they played any role in her fall.
Zardoya and Giudice had been close friends since childhood. Following her death, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star honored her with a wrist tattoo reading “Baby V.”
The newly released findings provide further details about Zardoya’s final days, but the circumstances surrounding the substances detected in her blood remain unclear.
