The financial picture surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is drawing fresh attention as the couple navigates another period of change. Their move to the UK, changing business deals, and recent career developments have raised questions about their future. Despite previous multimillion-dollar deals, maintaining their lifestyle may not be easy.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry living ‘totally unsustainable’ lifestyles, per source
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly facing growing financial pressure, with questions emerging over whether their spending matches their current income. According to a RadarOnline source, Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Halloween costumes turn heads, but their daughter Riley’s reaction and teen attitude steal the spotlight.
Their production company, Archewell Productions, has reportedly undergone staff reductions over the past 12 to 18 months. This followed Netflix’s shift from its lucrative exclusive deal with the Sussexes to a first-look arrangement in August 2025. Their charitable operation, Archewell Philanthropies, also reduced its workforce in December 2025.
The couple’s legal expenses have added another layer of concern. Harry’s July legal defeat against Associated Newspapers reportedly exposed him and other celebrity claimants to a potential $45 million bill, although insurance could help cover some of the costs.
A source described their financial situation bluntly, saying that “their lifestyles are totally unsustainable, and the spending sprees have gotten totally out of proportion to their actual income.”
The insider further claimed, “Everyone knows there’s barely anything coming in financially. The Hollywood deals have collapsed, and now they’re burning through their savings at lightning speed.”
The couple’s expenses reportedly include maintaining their nine-bedroom Montecito mansion, which they have yet to sell despite relocating to the UK. They are also said to be staying at billionaire Ian Wace’s Northamptonshire estate while in Britain.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, remains a significant part of their commercial ambitions. However, Netflix ended its financial partnership with the brand in March 2026.
As Harry reportedly works to rebuild ties with King Charles, providing for Archie and Lilibet remains a priority. Whether new ventures can ease the Sussexes’ financial concerns and sustain their lifestyle remains to be seen.
