Henry Morris is open to recording a song with his ex-girlfriend Adéla, believing a musical collaboration could help them revisit their past relationship. The two dated for most of 2024 before separating in early 2025. Since then, both have released songs that appear to draw inspiration from their time together.
Henry Morris discusses collaborating with Adéla after their breakup-inspired songs
Speaking to Page Six, Morris said he would be happy to work with Adéla again. “I would totally do it,” the 27-year-old musician shared. “To just let it out on the mic would be cool, you know? It’d definitely be an interesting song.”
Adéla’s track “Starving Artist” has led fans to speculate that Morris inspired its lyrics, which reportedly reference her ex’s financial struggles. Meanwhile, Morris also wrote about their relationship in “High All the Time,” a track featuring G-Eazy on his latest album, Kiss Me Extra Hard.
Despite their breakup, the former couple appears to have maintained a friendly connection. Morris revealed that he recently reached out to congratulate Adéla on her success with “Nicole Kidman.” Their conversation eventually turned to the music they had written about each other.
He told Page Six, “We hadn’t talked in so long, and so we just went over the fact that we have been writing some stuff about each other, which is good ’cause it was all very like positive, which I feel like you don’t usually get from artists, especially exes.”
Morris also addressed the “Starving Artist” label and Adéla’s lyrics about his financial difficulties during their relationship. He joked that his circumstances have improved since then, revealing that he now owns a bed frame. However, he is still keeping his closet full of gray sweatpants.
Meanwhile, both artists are focused on their music careers. Adéla is scheduled to continue her Red Bottom tour in December, while Morris will begin an international tour with Artemas this month following the release of his new album.
