Prince William Steals Prince Harry’s Spot as a ‘Relatable Guy’ — Report

Prince William may be taking over a public image once closely associated with Prince Harry. Following William’s relaxed appearance on The Graham Norton Show, royal commentators suggested that he now seems like the brother people would want to grab a drink with. The discussion focused on which brother appears more relatable to the public.

During a YouTube discussion, royal commentators praised William for appearing relaxed and comfortable on Graham Norton’s famous red sofa.

One described him as “such a relatable guy” and noted that people once said similar things about Harry. The panel suggested that William now seems like the kind of royal people could casually meet for a beer.

The comments followed William’s October 23 appearance alongside Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham, and Robert Irwin. He promoted the Earthshot Prize while joking about his family’s love of The Celebrity Traitors, his childhood DJ ambitions, and his favorite movies.

His television appearance has also attracted praise from royal experts. One royal expert said William appeared so relaxed and natural on television that she almost forgot he would one day become king.

The reaction contrasts with the public image Harry once enjoyed. Earlier this year, an expert suggested that Harry could rebuild his appeal by embracing his image as a “relatable husband, father and veteran”.

More recently, reports claimed that Harry and Meghan wanted to present themselves as less formal and “more relatable” than the working royals.

His recent television appearance may complicate that reported strategy. He balanced discussions about his environmental work with celebrity banter and glimpses into his family life.

Although relatability is subjective, the commentators’ reactions suggest that William is challenging an image once closely associated with his younger brother.
