Summer House star Kyle Cooke has addressed his controversial comments about West Wilson. Cooke said he would always care for his estranged wife, Amanda Batula. His remarks came after he left a heated comment on Wilson’s Instagram post.
Kyle Cooke addresses his West Wilson meltdown
Kyle Cooke took to Instagram to address his now-deleted comment about West Wilson. In his Instagram Story, Cooke acknowledged that he had let his emotions get the better of him. However, he explained that his reaction came from his concern for Amanda Batula.
He said, “There’s already enough negativity online, and the last thing I want to do is add to it. So I want to be clear, and then I’m leaving this alone. Despite our differences, I will always care about Amanda, and when it comes to people I care about, I fight hard. Sometimes too hard. It’s been an emotional and frustrating situation, and I have let those feelings get the better of me at times. But that doesn’t mean my concerns aren’t valid.”
Cooke also addressed reports that Batula would not return for the upcoming season of In the City. He said he wanted both of them to join the show and share their perspectives. However, he acknowledged that Batula makes her own decisions, just as he does.
Earlier, Cooke left a heated comment on a post by his former friend, West Wilson. He wrote, “More like [you’re] a coke head that blew my ex’s life and career up.” However, he deleted the comment after it attracted attention online.
According to Just Jared, Batula also responded by reposting an X user’s criticism of Cooke. The post read, “Kyle realized that when Amanda declined to film the upcoming season of #inthecity that he could no longer control or manipulate her anymore and melted down in West’s IG comments…”
Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke announced their split in January 2026. Batula has also discussed their dogs following the split. She later went public with her relationship with Cooke’s former friend, West Wilson.
Although Cooke has addressed his viral comment, Wilson has not publicly responded to the controversy.
