Martha Stewart had an unexpected Halloween wardrobe mishap during the Today show’s anniversary special. Craig Melvin, dressed as Snoop Dogg, accidentally spilled chocolate ganache on her white pants. The lifestyle expert quickly called him out in front of his co-hosts. The mishap became one of the morning’s funniest moments.

Stewart joined the Friday, October 30, broadcast as the show celebrated NBC’s 100th anniversary. She wore a white outfit to portray herself at the Olympics, complete with an American flag shirt. During a cooking segment, she showed Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, and Carson Daly how to decorate a cheesecake with a spiderweb design. Stewart looked for the ganache, and Melvin spotted the piping bag beneath the dessert. He then reached down to pick it up.
The bag spilled as Melvin tried to pass it to her, sending chocolate onto Stewart’s pants. “Snoop!” she scolded, while Melvin covered his mouth and apologized: “I’m so sorry, Martha.” Daly joked, “Good thing you’re best friends,” but Stewart replied, “Real Snoop would never do that.” Melvin answered, “No, for shizzle,” and Stewart laughed before repeating the phrase and continuing with the dessert.
Later, Melvin told her, “I just feel so bad that I destroyed your $3000 pants.” Stewart brushed off the accident, saying, “Don’t worry about it, they wash.” When the hosts gathered onstage later, Melvin apologized again, and Stewart pointed out the chocolate stain on her pants. He also spotted a stain on her shoe and said, “And the shoes,” drawing further attention to the mishap.
Stewart had first greeted Melvin’s Snoop-inspired costume by calling, “Hello, Snoop!” He answered, “What’s cookin’, Martha?” and she called the rapper her “BFF.” The pair traded playful lines, with Melvin saying, “You are the gin to my juice,” and Stewart replying, “For shizzle.” Despite the chocolate spill, the two kept the mood light throughout the Halloween segment.
