According to Page Six, Kardashian visited Bulgari’s Rome store during her All’s Fair press tour. There, she got to try on pieces from Taylor’s famous jewelry collection. Stylist Law Roach called the opportunity unprecedented, telling Kardashian, “Nobody’s ever done this before.”
The reality star was visibly thrilled, telling her stylist, “This is the best birthday present ever.” She also revealed that she had spoken to Taylor about the necklace and visited her home shortly after her death in 2011.
The necklace features Colombian emeralds surrounded by diamonds. Richard Burton gifted Taylor the jewelry over several years, including an emerald pendant in 1962. Bulgari later acquired the collection at a 2011 Christie’s auction, with the necklace and detachable pendant selling for a combined $12.7 million.
