Ivanka Trump’s $5,710-a-Night Hotel Stay Sparks Wealth Criticism

Ivanka Trump’s latest Instagram post backfired spectacularly after fans spotted what she was really showing off. The former presidential adviser faced criticism for sharing photos from a luxury Virginia getaway amid growing cost-of-living concerns.

Ivanka Trump’s autumn getaway draws criticism

Ivanka Trump faced backlash after sharing photos from her luxury fall vacation, The Daily Beast reported on Wednesday. The former presidential adviser posted a carousel of images on Instagram from her stay at The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia. The five-star hotel sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, roughly 90 minutes from Washington, D.C. Room prices at the property range from $720 to $5,710 per night. Its restaurant, The Dining Room, serves seven-course tasting menus from Chef Patrick O’Connell for $388 per person. The caviar tasting menu runs $3,050 per person, including a service charge.

“Autumn,” the 44-year-old mother of three captioned the post for her 8.6 million Instagram followers. Her photos featured a man herding geese, floral arrangements, corn cobs on a porch, a llama, sheep, antique portraits, fireplaces, ornate fences, and swans on a lake.

Critics took aim at the Instagram post as Americans continue facing cost-of-living pressures. “I mean, what a glorious life in photos when you have hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank, right?” one commenter wrote. “Delusional behavior considering all the news… but ok girl,” another added.

The criticism also referenced her husband, Jared Kushner, who serves as Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for Peace Missions. Vanity Fair recently published a preview of security reporter Matthew Cole’s new book, Princes and Thieves. The book discusses an alleged Russian double agent who leaked secret government server information to Western intelligence. It claimed the leak included screenshots from Kushner’s phone, revealing a UAE bank account containing $2 billion from Middle Eastern royals.

Kushner denied the allegations in a lengthy statement on X. “The allegations made by this author are completely insane and never happened,” he wrote. He added that the author “failed to provide a single shred of evidence to substantiate any of them.” Ivanka Trump has not publicly addressed the criticism or the reporting on her husband.
