Rah Ali has made serious allegations against her former friend Nicki Minaj. After years of speculation about their fallout, Ali says she has finally reached a point where she refuses to stay silent. The accusation comes from Ali, who says she maintained a close friendship with the rapper for more than a decade. Ali now claims Minaj tried to harm her reputation because she refused to let the rapper control her.

Ali discussed the breakdown of their friendship in a lengthy Instagram video. In the video, Ali said she had remained loyal, honest, and trustworthy throughout their friendship, according to TMZ.
However, Ali said she eventually reached a breaking point.
“There comes a point where you have to say enough is enough,” she explained. Ali then accused Minaj of trying to “destroy” her because she refuses to let anyone act as a “puppet master.”
Ali did not publicly provide evidence to support her allegation that Minaj intentionally tried to ruin her life. Minaj also has not publicly answered those specific allegations.
Speculation about their falling-out had circulated for months before Ali addressed it publicly. Speculation intensified in October 2025 after Minaj claimed that three people had made unauthorized charges on her American Express card.
Minaj never publicly identified Ali as one of those people.
Still, Ali posted an open letter weeks later. She accused Minaj of allowing others to spread damaging claims about her and challenged the rapper to provide evidence or apologize.
The fallout marks a significant change in their once-close friendship. Ali frequently defended Minaj during public disputes, including her long-running feud with Cardi B.
Ali also became involved in the public feud between Minaj and Cardi B. Ali and Cardi had public altercations over the years, including the infamous 2018 New York Fashion Week incident involving Minaj.
Minaj has also dealt with renewed tension in other rap relationships. Remy Ma recently revisited her long-running feud with Minaj on her Alimony EP.
For Ali, however, the falling-out appears deeply personal. She says she supported Minaj for years but no longer plans to protect the friendship at her own expense.
Ali maintains that she will no longer allow anyone to control her.
