The bitter feud between Jon Lovitz and Crystal Hefner, which made headlines a few months ago, has resurfaced. Hugh Hefner’s widow recently made several scathing remarks about the former comedian, prompting him to respond. The model has now made it clear that she doesn’t find his childish comeback amusing.
Crystal Hefner says Lovitz’s Playboy Mansion joke misses a much bigger problem
Crystal Hefner, host of the After the Mansion podcast, recently spoke exclusively to Page Six about the response the former comedian gave to her scathing remarks. During the conversation, she explained why Lovitz’s joke about the Playboy Mansion misses a much bigger problem.
Crystal said, “I think Jon Lovitz is part of the problem. I think many men who came up to that mansion [and] were very sexist and misogynistic are all part of that problem.” “If I could dismantle that toxic masculinity and patriarchy just a little bit, I will feel happy. It’s very sad,” she added.
Later she answered former comedian’s generosity remarks, “Jon Lovitz had mentioned to me that Hef had bought something for me or paid for something and that I have no reason to speak because of that. I think his thinking is very outdated.”
For context, during a recent podcast appearance, 40-year-old labeled the actor the “No. 1 pervert.” Lovitz responded by saying, “Any time someone says I’m No. 1, it’s a compliment.”
The 69-year-old not only addressed the allegations against him but also came to the defense of his late friend Hugh Hefner, saying he “was one of the nicest, most generous people I’ve ever met and all of his friends know it.”
John Lovitz and Crystal Hefner have known each other for nearly 15 years, but their feud only began in July of this year. The dispute started after the American model admitted she regretted marrying Hugh Hefner, prompting the late Playboy founder’s friend to come to his defense.
