Mike Tindall reportedly tried to patch things up between Prince William and Prince Harry. The former rugby player invited the brothers to meet for dinner and drinks. However, his reported attempts to engineer a reconciliation were unsuccessful.
Mike Tindall reportedly tried to reunite Prince William and Prince Harry
Prince Harry had previously expressed his desire to reconnect with his father, King Charles, and his estranged brother. However, the two continue to be at odds. This has sparked speculation about whether there is anyone who can help them reconcile.
According to Woman & Home, Royal Editor Emily Andrews said Mike Tindall was ready to take up the role and had attempted to resolve the dispute. Andrews wrote in the magazine’s December issue that Harry has “always been close to Zara and Mike Tindall.”
She was told that “Mike repeatedly tried to broker reconciliation between the brothers by inviting both of them to dinner or drinks – or just to knock heads over a beer.”
However, Tindall’s reported attempts did not result in a reconciliation. He also made a pointed joke about Prince Harry during an appearance at the 2026 Hay Festival. Tindall spoke about the people who had embarrassed themselves at his wedding. He said, “A lot of other people managed that way better than you – [like] Harry, when he was fun.”
The remark has also rekindled speculation about whether Tindall’s relationship with the Duke of Sussex has changed over the years. Harry was once close to Mike and his wife, Zara, who have long been part of the wider royal family.
This outlet previously reported that Harry had attempted to reconnect with his estranged brother through an intermediary. A separate report asked whether the brothers needed a more practical approach to resolve their differences.
Harry and William’s reunion and reconciliation may not be on track. Andrews believes that King Charles may have to intervene to restore peace between the brothers.
