After more than four years together, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause and Aussie musician G Flip have reportedly gone their separate ways. Now, new details suggest that the challenges of their long-distance romance may have played a role in their breakup.
Source claims long distance relationship led to Chrishell Stause and G Flip’s split
Speaking to People, a source shared, “The distance is what really drove the two of them apart.” Although the pair tried to make their relationship work by splitting their time between California and Australia, the frequent travel and extended periods apart reportedly took a toll on their romance. “The long flights, going weeks without seeing each other, and the time difference took its toll,” the source said.
“They were trying to make the ‘marriage,’ that was never legal, work. They both wanted to have kids, but they also both didn’t want to uproot their lives for the other.” Despite celebrating their love with multiple wedding ceremonies, Stause and G Flip never officially tied the knot, the outlet confirmed.
The pair, who were introduced to each other in 2021, marked their relationship with three wedding celebrations between 2023 and 2025, though they did not legally marry. Their first was a secret ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2023, followed by a vow renewal in Australia in July 2024. In July 2025, they hosted a medieval-themed celebration at a castle in Los Angeles.
Both Stause and G Flip reaffirmed their love for each other while announcing their split, saying they would always love one another. The source added, “Chrishell and G Flip still very much love each other and haven’t ruled anything out, as far as reuniting romantically, in the future. It was hard to dream about a life together, when they both had that dream on different continents.”
The details come after Stause opened up about the split in an Instagram video, admitting that she does not “have all the information and the reasons” behind it.
