The former comedian shrugs off Crystal Hefner’s criticism
According to Page Six, the actor was leaving a Los Angeles restaurant on Tuesday night when a video obtained by the outlet captured him responding to his late friend’s widow’s remarks. Jon Lovitz appeared to brush off Crystal Hefner’s criticism.
“Any time someone says I’m No. 1, it’s a compliment,” Lovitz answered when asked about Crystal Hefner’s comments that he “lurked around” the mansion.
He added, “Hugh Hefner was one of the nicest, most generous people I’ve ever met and all of his friends know it. That’s all I have to say about that.”
For context, Crystal Hefner recently appeared on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, where she called the former comedian “one of the biggest pervs.” She also described him as a “lurker” and claimed that his dog “peed all over the place.”
Crystal said, “He would be up there all the time. His eyes would go front to back [looking at] all the women that walked through the door at the party. I remember him. Every time, every party.”
Hugh Hefner and the Rat Race star were close friends, and their friendship was never a secret to fans. However, Lovitz’s alleged feud with the Playboy magazine founder’s widow has also played out publicly. This isn’t a recent development, either. Their back-and-forth, including jabs and responses to each other’s remarks, dates back to July 2026.
