Inde Navarrette is killing it as Nikki in her latest SNL gig. The actress just came off hot from her performance as the iconic Nikki Freeman in the horror hit Obsession. She left no stone unturned while channeling that character again for a hilarious new SNL Halloween video.
Navarette, who broke out with Obsession, brought her horror credentials to Saturday Night Live as she prepared to host the Halloween episode with musical guest Gracie Abrams. Practicing next to comedian Grace Reiter, Navarrette perfectly transformed into Nikki’s “No, no, no, don’t do that!” celebrated scene from the movie in one take.
Inde Navarrette ends her Obsession horror bit with a Halloween punchline on SNL
In the take, Navarrette started, saying, “Hi, I’m Inde Navarrette, and I’ll be hosting SNL this week with musical guest Gracie Abrams. And let me be the first one to say, Happy Valentine’s Day! I’ve got my date planned, I’m wearing my nice red dress, I just love it.”
At this, Reiter nudged her, telling her “it’s Halloween” and that they had “booked you for Halloween.” The comedian explained, “You know, because you were in the biggest horror movie this year.” To this, the actress said, “Obsession is a rom-com.”
Chuckling at her seemingly fancy little joke, Reiter said, “In what world is Obsession a rom-com?” But this brought Navarrette’s Nikki personality out, as she stopped Reiter dead in the tracks by saying her iconic line through gritted teeth and a wide grin: “No. No, no, no, don’t do that!” Hilariously enough, a scared Reiter then hurriedly corrected herself, saying, “Uh, it’s a beautiful, touching film.”
Navarrette will make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Halloween night, October 31, 2026.
