Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Popular TV Show Is Coming to Movie Theaters, Release Date Set

Amelia Dimoldenberg is going big with her upcoming project. The popular YouTuber’s hit series Chicken Shop Date is getting a special theatrical screening.

As its 12-year run concludes, Chicken Shop Date: The Final Series will receive a one-night theatrical screening on November 24, 2026. The screening is being organized in collaboration with Cine Club and will take place for one night only. The final episodes will be available on YouTube starting November 27, 2026.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will also have invite-only premiere events. Before the final episodes are released publicly, invite-only screenings are scheduled for London on November 16 and New York on November 19, 2026.

How Amelia Dimoldenberg turned awkward celebrity interviews into a hit

Dimoldenberg began developing the show as a teenager. The YouTuber created Chicken Shop Date as a column for a youth magazine. She launched the video series on YouTube in 2014. The series gained an audience for its deliberately awkward, deadpan interviews with celebrities.

The 32-year-old comedian produces the series through her company, Dimz Inc. In each episode, she frames a celebrity interview as an awkward date, using her deadpan humor to drive the conversation. Her dry, deadpan humor has helped make the series a fan favorite. Her guests have included Andrew Garfield, Daniel Kaluuya, Billie Eilish, Central Cee, Dave, and Cher.

According to an official press release quoted by Variety, the feature will “offer a personal look behind the series, exploring Amelia’s relationship with the show and her decision to bring it to an end. Moving between comedy, nostalgia and candid reflection, the film is both a celebration of everything ‘Chicken Shop Date’ has become and a fitting farewell to one of the internet’s most recognizable formats.”

Dimoldenberg announced that the series will end after a final run of episodes. As the show comes to an end after 12 years, the final series will feature some notable guests such as Jorja Smith, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, and Role Model.
