The Traitors has been making headlines as it gears up for its fifth season, and Andy Cohen has now shared his thoughts on the show. While fans are eager to see the host compete on the reality series, Cohen admits he has zero delusions about surviving The Traitors.
Andy Cohen explains why he won’t compete on The Traitors
On October 18, the TV host spoke exclusively with People at New York City’s Hudson Theatre during the Broadway show Other Desert Cities. During the conversation, Andy Cohen explained why he wouldn’t compete on The Traitors. He believes he “would get voted off immediately.”
Although the TV host has no plans to join The Traitors, several stars from The Real Housewives franchise, which he executive-produces, have appeared on the reality show. Meanwhile, Jessel Taank and other Housewives who haven’t joined the cast have expressed interest in competing.
“I would love to do Traitors, 100% would love to do Traitors, and I would want to be a Traitor because what’s the fun in being a Faithful?” Taank expressed.
The Traitors has completed four seasons, with its fifth season now underway. Over the years, several Real Housewives stars have joined the reality competition. Season 1 featured Brandi Glanville. In 2nd season, we saw Phaedra Parks, Shereé Whitfield, Tamra Judge, and Larsa Pippen. Season 3 featured Dolores Catania, who won the season, along with Dorinda Medley, Robyn Dixon, and Chanel Ayan.
Season 4 brought back Dorinda Medley and featured Candiace Dillard Bassett, Lisa Rinna, Caroline Stanbury, and Porsha Williams. The upcoming sixth season will feature Gizelle Bryant, Cynthia Bailey, and Bronwyn Newport.
TV host was previously questioned about joining The Traitors and said, “They haven’t asked me.” However, his stance on competing in the reality show appears to have remained unchanged since then.
“First of all, I think I would be eliminated immediately. I host the reunion, which I would like to keep doing,” he said.
For context, Andy Cohen has never competed on The Traitors, but he has still been part of the show. He hosted the reunion episodes for the first four seasons, which aired between 2023 and 2026.
