Oppenheim commented on Stause’s Instagram announcement just hours after she shared it.
“I’m really sorry to hear this,” he wrote. “I’m thinking of you and sending you my love.”
He also addressed Stause’s feelings about the end of her marriage. She had admitted feeling “like a little bit of a failure” after another relationship ended.
Oppenheim reassured her that the breakup did not mean either person had failed.
“You’re both beautiful people, and sometimes things just don’t work out, but it certainly doesn’t mean anyone failed,” he wrote.
He acknowledged that words might not ease her pain immediately.
“There’s probably nothing anyone can say to make you feel better right now; it might just take some time to process,” he added.
Oppenheim ended his message by emphasizing his continued support for Stause.
“Please know that you’re very loved and I’m always there for you no matter what,” he wrote.
Stause was previously married to actor Justin Hartley, with their separation announced in 2019. She later began dating Oppenheim, her boss at the Oppenheim Group, in 2021.
Their relationship ended later that year, but the two remained close friends.
“When Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends,” Oppenheim said in December 2021. He also described her as “the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
Stause began dating Australian musician G Flip in 2022, and the couple married in May 2023.
The Chrishell Stause G Flip split follows years of public discussion about their plans to start a family. G Flip also confirmed the breakup and said they would always share a special connection.
Oppenheim’s message added another layer of support for Stause as she navigates the end of her marriage and another major change in her personal life.
