Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s latest Nottingham visit clashed with a major event involving King Charles and Queen Camilla. While some suggest the couple tried to avoid the clash, sources claim they were unable to do so. The reported reason comes amid growing attention surrounding Harry’s interview with GQ.
The Sussexes’ office receives limited Palace schedule details, sources reveal
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint public appearance since returning to the UK on October 15, 2026, during a visit to Nottingham. The same day, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the Senedd building in Cardiff Bay to officially open the seventh session of the Welsh Parliament.
According to a report by the Daily Express, insiders claim that while the Sussexes try to avoid clashing with the Royal Family at events, it is impossible. Sources added that Harry and Markle would be happy to schedule their public events around King Charles’ schedule, but it might be impossible because limited information about the King’s schedule is available.
During the Nottingham visit, Harry and Markle met with numerous volunteers from various charitable organizations.
Similarly, Harry’s latest GQ interview was published on October 20, the same day the King and Queen hosted the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle for the official state visit.
In his interview, Harry said he is open to reconciliation with his brother, Prince William, and his father. The young Prince has been at odds with the royal family since he stepped back from his role with his wife, Markle. He said, “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile; that’s the key point. Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past.”
