Donald Trump recently praised the US healthcare system but also noted it does not cover everyone. The remarks came during a phone interview the President gave just before heading to another rally. Trump is currently busy with rallies across the country as the midterm elections come near.
What Donald Trump told Larry Kudlow about American health insurance
Donald Trump recently gave a phone interview to Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures on October 25, during which he discussed the United States healthcare system.
While speaking to guest host Larry Kudlow, Trump went on to praise the healthcare system, but also laid out one of its drawbacks, saying, “We have the best healthcare plans in the world. Now it doesn’t cover everybody, but it covers a lot of people.”
The President further added how many of his friends have benefited from the system and noted, “I have friends that have these private health plans, and they’re given by these big grade companies: insurance companies, healthcare companies, and they love it. It’s not expensive, and it’s great.”
Trump is busy rallying in the country ahead of the November midterm elections. He made those remarks before heading to a rally in Michigan to support Republican candidate Mike Rogers.
Kudlow also praised the President for his campaigning efforts, saying, “You’ve been relentless, you’ve been campaigning. It’s herculean. You’re turning the tide, you’re getting voters out, you’re raising enthusiasm. The economy is booming. We’re the hottest in the world, stocks are doing great, drug prices are coming down.” In his reply, Trump asserted, “I have worked very hard, I have done 14 rallies in nine days, and it’s a lot.”
He also suggested that he deserves credit for the Republican Party’s popularity. However, Trump added that, regardless of the results, people from his party are thanking him for his efforts.
