Todd Chrisley faced another legal dispute as his son Grayson Chrisley’s medical and toxicology records became a point of contention in a lawsuit stemming from a 2022 car crash. The plaintiff is seeking access to records that could shed light on Grayson’s condition after the collision, while the Chrisleys have argued that the documents are irrelevant to the damages at issue.
Grayson Chrisley’s medical and toxicology records are at the center of a legal dispute
According to TMZ, Patrick Rykwalder, who sued Grayson, Todd, Julie and Savannah Chrisley, sought access to Grayson’s medical and toxicology records. New court documents reportedly show Rykwalder accused the Chrisleys of obstructing his efforts to obtain the records.
The dispute also revisited Todd’s account of the crash. During a November 2022 podcast appearance, Todd said he went to the scene and accompanied Grayson to the hospital. He also said he asked hospital staff to conduct a toxicology test on his son, according to TMZ.
Rykwalder also questioned Grayson’s reported concussion and sought the medical records to establish whether Grayson sustained the injury and to examine his condition following the collision.
The Chrisleys pushed back against the request. They argued that Rykwalder was not entitled to access the records and maintained that Grayson had already admitted liability for the accident. They also contended that the documents were irrelevant to determining damages.
The underlying crash occurred in Tennessee when Grayson was driving a 2020 Ford F-150 and collided with Rykwalder’s vehicle. Rykwalder alleged that Grayson failed to pay attention, while Grayson denied the accusation.
The collision occurred just weeks before Todd and Julie began serving their prison sentences, adding to the family’s ongoing legal troubles. The dispute over Grayson’s medical information remains unresolved as the litigation continues.
