Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Need ‘Royal Gold Dust,’ Author Says

A royal expert has reportedly criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for allegedly trying to find their way back into the royal fold during their recent UK visit. The Sussexes visited Nottingham on October 15, marking their first public engagement in Britain since stepping back from royal duties. During the visit, the couple interacted with locals and met volunteers from several charitable organizations.

Author believes the Sussexes are seeking renewed royal relevance

Royal author Ingrid Seward believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are attempting to reclaim their royal relevance during their latest UK visit. Seward criticized the Sussexes, suggesting that the couple are trying too hard to win back the British public as they re-establish their presence in the country.

In her column for The Sun, Seward expressed disappointment over what she viewed as the couple’s desperate attempts to regain the public’s favor. She also suggested that Harry and Meghan are trying to reclaim the status they once enjoyed by birthright but gave up when they traded royal life in England for the glitz and glamour of America.

Some critics believe the Sussexes are making these efforts to get back into the good graces of King Charles and Queen Camilla. However, Seward offered a different perspective on their motivations.

The royal expert stated: “I think not. Harry is famously impulsive and wears his heart on his sleeve. Still, it is undeniable that Harry and Meghan need some royal gold dust to rub off on them if they are to remain relevant.”

Interestingly, shortly after the Sussexes returned to the UK, Charles issued a statement clarifying their royal status. Through a letter issued by the Lord Chamberlain, the King reaffirmed that Harry and Meghan would remain non-working royals. The letter also clarified that the couple could not use their royal titles or undertake official royal engagements.

A representative for the couple responded to the development, saying they “were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance” (via BBC).

Before their UK visit, Harry and Meghan reportedly had a private reunion with the King and Queen at the royal residence. However, speculation continues over whether the Sussexes have met with the Prince and Princess of Wales or reunited with the King and Queen since returning to the UK.
