Kelly Clarkson’s Viral Brooklyn Store Dispute Takes a New Turn on Video

Kelly Clarkson’s viral Brooklyn store controversy has a brand-new update with new security footage. For those unversed, Clarkson took to X to share her unpleasant experience with the staff at Brooklyn’s Art of Play, accusing them of treating her rudely. She said she felt like Julia Roberts’ character from “Pretty Woman”.

The staff tried to clarify the situation and branded it as a “misunderstanding.” However, Clarkson did not budge from her stance and continued to allege poor behaviour from the staff. Now, there is a new update on the issue.

What newly released security footage shows inside Art of Play

Kelly Clarkson’s Brooklyn store controversy heads in a new direction with new security footage. Independent journalist Pablo Torre has now obtained new footage showing what actually transpired between the “Breakaway” singer and the store staff.

Torre shared a four-minute-and-50-second, audio-less clip on his YouTube channel. However, Clarkson can be seen seemingly picking up a kaleidoscope from a shelf. She held it to her eye to look through it before exploring the rest of the store.

At one point, Clarkson eyes a mechanical bird sculpture, the point of contention in this controversy. She begins conversing with one of the staff members, whom Torre identified as one of the shop’s owners. They talk briefly, after which the staff member is seen pointing in a different direction as the 44-year-old singer glances at another item in the store.

Following the interaction, Clarkson walks through the store towards its front exit. She then turns around, signalling towards the shop owner while the other staff members watch. In external camera footage shared by Torre, the “Stronger” singer fishes out her phone as she exits the store.

According to Torre’s footage, Clarkson seemingly took out her phone to document her negative experience at the Brooklyn store.
