A new report suggests that Prince Harry‘s UK return is complicated by a single issue involving Meghan Markle. The news comes as the Duchess reportedly misses her old life and loved ones in California. After six years in California, the Sussexes moved back to the UK in August 2026 with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry has to reportedly make sure Meghan Markle is settled in the UK
Since returning to Britain, Prince Harry is reportedly carrying the major burden of making sure Meghan Markle feels at home. Per the Daily Express, sources are claiming that ensuring his wife settles in comfortably has become the Duke’s biggest concern.
The “Suits” actress has previously spoken openly about her difficult time living in the UK. The couple even went on to make claims about the royal family in interviews and in Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”
Weighing in on her current situation, royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggests that Markle may now be going through what her husband experienced after relocating to the U.S. In conversation with New Magazine, he said, “Meghan’s bound to feel homesick and be missing California and her friends, especially her mum Doria, because she has been the one constant in Meghan’s life over the past few years. She’ll feel the same way that Harry felt when he was out there.”
Larcombe further explained that Prince Harry is under considerable pressure to help his wife settle in this time around. He reportedly wants her to genuinely connect with the UK, which did not happen during their previous stay. The royal commentator noted that the Duke will be keen for her to see Britain as a true home, which will be a significant undertaking.
Since moving back to the UK, photographers caught the Sussex pair enjoying a rare date night at a pub in Oxfordshire. Meghan Markle also reportedly had dinner with Malala Yousafzai in London on October 7.
Despite keeping a low profile since her return, the As Ever founder has kept up with the brand’s festive launches. The brand recently unveiled its Montecito-inspired advent calendar on social media, with additional launches lined up soon.
