The insider said she has been finding her new circumstances harder than ever. According to them, the Duchess is trying to stay upbeat and “put on a happy face” for her husband.
Meanwhile, Harry has reportedly urged her to lift her spirits and be “patient.” Yet, the insider suggested that pub lunches and outings are not enough to ease her homesickness. California is the place Meghan has called home. The Duchess was born and raised there. She and Harry settled in the US after stepping back as senior working members of the royal family in 2020.
The source said she misses several things from that life. These include the couple’s Montecito property, trips to the beach, and her friends. Her best friend, Kelly Zajfen, recently visited with her husband and children to “help her get through this transition.” However, the insider noted that the stay cannot last forever.
