KATSEYE member Daniela Avanzini has given fans a surprising answer about Manon Bannerman’s place in the group. Daniela spoke about her bandmate during a fan interaction at Paris Fashion Week. Her brief response added more questions around Manon’s long absence.
Daniela Avanzini says she’s “not sure” about Manon Bannerman’s KATSEYE absence
Daniela addressed Manon when a fan asked about her during Paris Fashion Week. “I miss her so much! And I wish her the best,” Daniela said. The fan then asked why Manon is “not in KATSEYE anymore.” Daniela answered, “I’m not sure,” according to footage shared from the interaction.
Manon has remained away from KATSEYE since February. HYBE x Geffen said on Feb. 20 that she would take a temporary hiatus to focus on her health and well-being. The group said it supported her decision and planned to continue its scheduled activities. Manon’s absence has since led fans to closely watch for signs about her future with the group.
In April, Manon removed KATSEYE from her Instagram bio. KATSEYE also performed at Coachella that month without her. The group later faced another lineup change when Sophia Laforteza began her own hiatus in August. Daniela, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung have since continued as a four-member group during promotions for the WILD EP, their Saturday Night Live debut and the European leg of the WILDWORLD Tour.
The group’s next major tour leg could bring another question about its lineup. The North American WILDWORLD Tour starts Oct. 13 at Miami’s Kaseya Center. It remains unclear whether Manon or Sophia will return before those shows begin.
KATSEYE will also perform at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Oct. 18, leaving fans waiting for more clarity about Manon’s status. In addition, they made their highly anticipated television debut as musical guests on the Season 52 premiere of Saturday Night Live on September 26, 2026.
Manon’s future with KATSEYE remains unclear as the group prepares for its next performances. Daniela’s comments do not confirm whether her bandmate plans to return. For now, fans have only Daniela’s brief response and Manon’s ongoing hiatus. The group has yet to provide a new update about her return.
