Trippie Redd’s Mansion Raid Turns Up an Attempted Murder Suspect

Trippie Redd’s $8 million South Florida mansion became the unlikely backdrop for an attempted murder arrest Tuesday. Police descended on the rapper’s Southwest Ranches property during a Miami shooting investigation and left with their target in custody.

Braveone Jones, 25, was wanted over a Sept. 15 shooting outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The raid involved several law enforcement agencies, while investigators kept the American Rapper’s connection to the case at arm’s length.

TMZ reported that Miami police located Jones at the property around 6 p.m. Tuesday and arrested him. He faced two counts of attempted second-degree murder tied to the shooting. An online booking record listed Jones, who also went by BalloutDaDon, in a Miami-Dade County case. Each firearm-related charge carried a $15,000 bond. The investigation remained active, but authorities did not identify Redd as a suspect.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight Sept. 15 outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen. First responders treated two men, ages 18 and 23, before taking them to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Both victims were listed in stable condition, while police initially had no suspect or clear motive.

Davie police assisted Miami officers with the search warrant at his home. Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise police also responded, alongside the Broward Sheriff’s Office, ATF, and Plantation Police SWAT. Miami police led the investigation.

The rapper’s distinctive all-black mansion had already attracted plenty of attention before Tuesday’s operation. The Southwest Ranches estate reportedly cost $8 million and became known for its dramatic black exterior.

The raid also came more than a year after he faced his own unrelated arrest. Deputies took him into custody at Miami International Airport in July 2025 while he tried to board a flight to France. That case stemmed from a 2023 warrant involving an invalid driver’s license.

Authorities had not publicly explained what evidence they sought inside his home. The arrest of Jones added a major development to the investigation, but the rapper remained outside the case.
