Martha Stewart allegedly left the Real Housewives of New York City cast to cover her food bill during a group dinner at New York City’s Polo Bar. RHONY newcomer Hailey Glassman claimed Stewart stopped by the dinner before Season 16 filming, ordered food, and left without paying her share.
Hailey Glassman claims Martha ordered food during a RHONY cast outing before the group covered the cost
Glassman discussed the outing on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, where she said, “We went to the Polo Bar before filming.” She recalled, “Martha stopped by, and she dined and dashed, actually. She ordered some food and we all, like, covered it.”
Glassman and Stewart were joined by Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Daisy Toye, Erika Hammond and Sai De Silva. A representative for Stewart did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Although Glassman said she never filmed with Stewart, the lifestyle mogul has made several appearances on the new season. Toye, who joined RHONY with Glassman and Hammond in Season 16, works as Stewart’s makeup artist.
Toye’s first scene featured Stewart visiting her rent-controlled apartment for a makeup appointment, where they discussed Ryan Murphy’s “Love Story.” Stewart also recalled speaking with John F. Kennedy Jr. days before his 1999 plane crash.
Explaining that Kennedy wanted advice about his magazine, George, Stewart said, “I was with John-John the Monday before the Friday when they died. He called me.” She said they later had dinner, during which he told her he planned to fly his wife, Carolyn Bessette, and sister-in-law Lauren to a wedding in Martha’s Vineyard.
Stewart said she advised him to get a co-pilot, but Kennedy allegedly told her he did not need one. She has since appeared on RHONY several more times, including a recent meal with Toye. The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
