Meghan Markle appeared to sweetly honor Prince Harry in a series of Instagram photos shared by a UK-based friend. The Sussexes reportedly flew privately from California to Birmingham on August 26 and are expected to remain in the UK for an extended stay.
While Markle has yet to make a public appearance in Britain, she has reportedly been spending time with friends and reconnecting with familiar faces. However, her friend’s latest Instagram post has caught the attention of royal watchers.
Meghan wears the PH40 cap she created for Harry’s 40th birthday two years ago in new photos
Meghan Markle was spotted wearing the PH40 cap she designed for Prince Harry’s 40th birthday in a new set of Instagram photos. The Duchess of Sussex’s close friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, shared a series of wholesome snapshots, with some of the photos featuring the Sussexes together.
In the third photo of the carousel, Markle, dressed in an all-black outfit, is captured in a candid moment. The “Suits” star flashes a cheeky smile while sporting a matching black cap. A closer look reveals that Markle is wearing a PH40 cap, which she custom-made for Harry’s 40th birthday two years ago.
As expected, “PH” stands for Prince Harry, while “40” commemorates his milestone birthday. The cap serves as a sweet nod to her husband, who also appears elsewhere in the carousel. The Duchess of Sussex first showed off the PH40 black baseball caps during an episode of “With Love, Meghan” Season 2 (via The Royal Observer).
During the episode, Markle gave viewers a glimpse at some of her travel essentials. The “Suits” star explained: “Now we get into the things that bring me joy. I always have a baseball cap. I made these for my husband’s 40th birthday for him and his friends.”
Recently, the Duchess of Sussex shared a heartwarming reel to celebrate Harry’s 42nd birthday on September 15. She set the post to The Hound + The Fox’s “Simply The Best” and added the caption: “He’s simply the best. Happy Birthday, my love.”
Markle also shared another reel on her Instagram Stories celebrating Harry’s appearance at the WellChild Awards. She paired the video with Sam Garrett’s “I Believe,” offering another public tribute to her husband.
