Aside from Meghan Markle’s heartfelt birthday post on Instagram, King Charles seemingly contacted him to wish him a happy birthday. A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that many royal members reached out to the “Spare” author to wish him.
“But from William and Catherine? Nothing. No call, no text, no private message. Not a word,” they added. The insider suggested that Harry’s birthday could have been the “easiest” way possible to reconcile. William could allegedly have taken the first step, but his ignorance has confirmed his stance.
Furthermore, another source claimed that missing Harry’s birthday was “not an oversight.” “William knew exactly what day it was,” they claimed. “He made a decision not to contact Harry, and Catherine didn’t reach out separately. That silence was deliberate.”
While the Waleses shut their royal door for the Sussexes, some remained open. According to the first insider, Charles didn’t want to waste this opportunity to reach out to his second son.
