Dave Chappelle Announces a Major Return to Arenas This Fall

Dave Chappelle announced another run of arena shows for fall 2026, with dates across the United States and Canada before a major stop in New York.

The comedian planned to close the Dave Chappelle fall tour by headlining the opening night of the New York Comedy Festival on November 6.

Dave Chappelle will take his fall 2026 arena tour across the U.S. and Canada before opening the New York Comedy Festival

The Dave Chappelle tour includes stops in Nashville, Charlotte, Toronto, Louisville, Austin, and Houston before reaching New York.

Chappelle plans to perform solo throughout the arena run.

His Dave Chappelle New York appearance also carries additional significance because it will open the annual comedy festival.

Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival, celebrated his addition to the lineup.

“Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time,” Hirsch said. “To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Dave Chappelle arena tour follows another stretch of live performances earlier in 2026.

Chappelle toured arenas in June, visiting Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and San Diego.

After completing those dates, he returned to his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio. There, he hosted the sixth year of Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp at the outdoor Wirrig Pavilion.

The event gave Chappelle a more intimate setting after his larger arena appearances.

He then took his performances overseas.

Chappelle traveled to London for his Pulling Up Tour and sold out two nights at the Eventim Apollo.

He also hosted Lauryn Hill’s first U.K. Diaspora Calling! Festival at the Milton Keynes National Bowl.

The newly announced Dave Chappelle 2026 dates extend an already busy year of live shows.

His fall schedule brings him back to major arenas before the November 6 festival appearance in New York.
