Tupac Shakur’s Killer Allegedly Crossed Major Line Behind Bars

Duane “Keffe D” Davis has allegedly been involved in a series of incidents, as per new jail records. The records detail confrontations and disciplinary violations before his Tupac Shakur murder trial. Some incidents allegedly involved violence and threats against corrections officers.

New jail records detail a string of alleged incidents involving Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis.

Records obtained by TMZ detail Davis’ alleged conduct at the Clark County Detention Center. He was incarcerated there from his September 2023 arrest through the beginning of his trial. The records include several alleged violations during that period.

In December 2025, Davis allegedly fought another inmate in the dayroom. The records say both men engaged in mutual combat and threw punches. Corrections officers reportedly used pepper spray before separating the two inmates.

Another alleged confrontation occurred in March 2024 over Davis’ free time. Davis reportedly argued with a corrections officer about leaving his cell. He allegedly yelled, “Who do you think you are talking to?”

Davis allegedly continued, “I have been doing this s—t since before you were born.” The records say he then threatened to fight the officer. He allegedly threatened to punch the officer in the “f—ing face.”

In August 2024, Davis allegedly became angry over his free-time schedule. He reportedly wanted to make a call related to his bail. The records say he repeatedly called two officers a “piece of s***” before asking them to “have a heart.”

Another August incident involved officers removing an unauthorized second mattress. Davis allegedly became angry and screamed, “This is some bulls***!” A struggle reportedly followed, and Davis was handcuffed.

One officer allegedly suffered a scratch to his knuckle during that confrontation. Davis also had minor alleged violations, including passing a commissary note to another inmate.

The records emerged shortly after a Las Vegas jury found Davis guilty of Tupac’s murder. Prosecutors alleged Davis provided the murder weapon before Tupac was fatally shot in 1996.

Davis’ sentencing is scheduled for October 13. The newly detailed jail violations provide additional insight into his behavior while awaiting trial. However, the allegations concern his conduct in detention and do not change the murder conviction.
