Katie Price, the former glamour model and TV personality, fired back against claims that she tried to take over her daughter Princess Andre’s moment at the National Television Awards. After reports suggested she had been following Princess around the red carpet for a joint photo, Katie shared footage that she says tells a very different story.
Katie Price denies “hijacking” daughter Princess Andre’s NTA red carpet moment and shares video evidence to challenge the claims
Princess, 19, attended Tuesday night’s NTAs at London’s O2 Arena with her older brother Junior Andre, 21. Her reality series was also nominated for an award. She was later photographed with Katie on the red carpet, leading to claims that her mother had been “stalking” her for a picture.
Katie strongly denied the allegations on her Instagram Story. She wrote, “Hijacked? Stalked? I don’t know where you get your information from, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Watch my next video for the proof!”
She then shared a video showing the moment Princess approached her on the red carpet. Katie added text over the clip saying: “This video clearly shows Princess approaching Katie on the red carpet, not Katie hijacking her moment or stalking the red carpet like it has been reported.”
The response came after an unnamed source claimed to The Mirror that Princess had appeared “sad and subdued” while posing with her mother and alleged Katie had been waiting on the carpet “ready to pounce for a joint photo.” The source also suggested Katie’s outfit was designed to attract attention.
However, the video Katie shared appears to challenge the claim that she chased Princess down for the photograph.
Katie, who shares Princess and Junior with ex-husband Peter Andre, also attracted attention for her outfit and makeup. She later said she was pleased with her appearance despite criticism of some photographs.
“In the right light and in life, I loved it,” she said on her podcast. “It’s exactly what I wanted.”
