Howard Stern built his reputation through his confessional shock-jock style on terrestrial radio, where he challenged traditional broadcasting rules. However, these days, reports suggest that he is scaling back his radio schedule and preparing to bring a video-streaming version of his show.
Amid all this, his wife, Beth Stern, has opened up about how his reduced workweek changes their life at home.
Beth Stern says Howard Stern’s reduced schedule means ‘more Howard at home’
During New York Fashion Week, Beth Stern spoke exclusively with the Daily Mail, where she discussed her husband Howard Stern’s new HBO Max endeavor. Reports suggest that the 72-year-old will now stream his program every week on the platform. Speaking about the change, Beth said that the reduced schedule means “more Howard at home.”
Beth said, “It’s actually great for me, because he’s now going to start only working one day a week – so I get more Howard at home and he’s still connected to the world, so it’s a win-win for all of us.”
During the interview, Beth Stern also shared some details about her personal life with Howard Stern alongside discussing his career and schedule. She opened up about how the broadcaster showers her with romantic gestures and how he is always painting a picture for Beth.
Talking about the American broadcaster’s new endeavor, The Howard Stern Show will stream video versions of his SiriusXM radio show on HBO Max. The new season will premiere on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The live show will now air only once a week on SiriusXM, every Monday, and then arrive globally on HBO Max three days later, on Thursday, September 17. According to reports, a new episode will drop every Thursday following the initial release.
For context, this project is part of a major deal between The Howard Stern Production Company, HBO Max, and SiriusXM. The 72-year-old’s contract with SiriusXM for his live show will also continue through 2028.
