Nick Mohammed will host The Traitors – Acts of Betrayal in London’s West End in 2027
Mohammed will host The Traitors – Acts of Betrayal in 2027. Performances will begin May 11 at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The venue sits on Drury Lane in London’s West End. Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions will produce the show.
The production will feature five separate plays based on the competition. Each play will represent a different version of the game, with audiences seeing different outcomes unfold across the performances. Characters can face completely different fates in each version.
The show will also give audiences an unusual role. On Saturdays, audience members will decide who wears the cloak. Their choice will determine which version gets performed. That decision will happen in real time during each performance.
John Finnemore wrote the stage adaptation for the West End, while Robert Hastie will direct the production. The creative team also includes several experienced theater professionals. Ben Stones will serve as production designer.
Mohammed already has experience with The Traitors. He played the game before taking on the stage role, giving him experience with the show’s format and twists.
Studio Lambert CEO Stephen Lambert praised Mohammed’s casting. He said the host needs charm, mischief and strong stage control. Lambert also called Mohammed’s experience with the game a bonus.
Mohammed also welcomed the unusual opportunity in a statement. He praised Finnemore’s work and called the production unpredictable. He described playing Claudia Winkleman’s role as a major challenge and joked about not having enough hair for the part.
The stage adaptation will expand The Traitors beyond television. It will combine live theater with audience participation, allowing performances to unfold differently. The production will bring the game’s twists and suspense to London’s West End.
