The Lindsay Clancy murder trial continues to draw attention as supporters gather outside the courthouse. While Clancy initially faced widespread criticism over the alleged killings of her children, some people have publicly shown their support for her. Amid this, Congresswoman Nancy Mace has made race-related claims about Clancy’s supporters.
Nancy Mace accused Lindsay’s vocal supporters of applying a racial double standard
The Republican congresswoman spoke to the media on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. There, she criticized women who believe Lindsay Clancy is innocent in the case involving the deaths of her children. According to Mace, if Clancy were Black, the crowd protesting outside the court would have abandoned her.
Mace described Clancy’s supporters as misguided and said she believes the jury should find Clancy guilty of murder. She also acknowledged that Clancy is mentally unwell. However, she argued that her mental health does not justify allowing someone accused of killing her children to go free.
According to TMZ, Mace said that if Clancy escapes punishment or is acquitted, she would hold members of the “Pink Mob” supporting her outside the court responsible.
Clancy faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of her three children. After five days of deliberations, the jury remained deadlocked and was set to resume deliberations on Thursday, September 3, leaving the case unresolved.
The trial began on July 20, 2026, and closing arguments were delivered on August 27. The jury then began deliberating. As of Thursday, September 3, jurors were entering their sixth day of deliberations after twice telling the judge they could not reach a unanimous verdict.
