According to multiple reports, the Sussexes flew privately from California to Birmingham on August 26 and are planning to reside in a private, non-royal home rumored to be in the Cotswolds.
While King Charles was reportedly informed about their plans only days before their arrival, Ferguson, the former wife of disgraced ex-Prince Andrew, allegedly knew about the move earlier and used the information to her advantage.

Sarah Ferguson was reportedly informed about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plan to return to the UK. Royal author Andrew Lownie revealed to the Daily Mail that “bomb-proof” sources shared this information with him.
Lownie penned: “Ferguson knew what was going on, and she laid her own plans accordingly.” The royal author alleged that the former Duchess of York used the information to plan her return while the media focused on the Sussexes. According to Lownie, Markle may have confided in Ferguson herself while Ferguson was visiting her daughter in Portugal. Notably, Harry and Meghan have a holiday home in Portugal.
According to the royal commentator, Markle and Ferguson share many similarities. As per Lownie, “First, both women have existed in a state of open warfare with the Palace machine for years.” Secondly, the former actress probably looks up to Ferguson as an inspiration for following the “half-in, half-out” system.
