Gal Gadot answers who Gisele is alive and if she’ll return in Fast Forever
Gal Gadot addressed Gisele Yashar’s survival and her future in the franchise on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. The actress also confirmed her involvement in the upcoming final installment, Fast Forever.
Horowitz asked Gadot if she knew about Gisele’s survival back when they filmed the scene. Gadot admitted she believed the character was permanently dead after Fast & Furious 6. However, someone close to her kept raising doubts about the death. “I was thinking she was gone for good but then [they] would always tell me, did you see a body? Was there a funeral?” Gadot said.
Horowitz then pressed her on whether she knows how Gisele actually survived. Gadot played coy and refused to give a straight answer about the details. “Maybe I know, but I can’t say anything,” she teased. She also pointed to her brief cameo in Fast X as evidence of the secrecy. “The cameo I’ve done for the last film is like just we don’t share any information,” Gadot added.
The conversation then shifted toward the future of the long-running action franchise. Gadot expressed clear enthusiasm about returning for another installment alongside the original cast. “This became such a cultural event. Wherever I travel in the world, people talk to me about Fast and Furious,” she said. She described the franchise as a full-circle moment in her career.
Fast Forever is currently in production with a March 17, 2028 release date from Universal Pictures. Louis Leterrier directs the eleventh and final mainline entry in the franchise. The cast includes Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, and Gadot reprising Gisele Yashar. Christina Hodson and Michael Lesslie wrote the screenplay alongside franchise veteran Chris Morgan. Vin Diesel announced the official title in January 2026 and confirmed the film’s return to Los Angeles.
