Brittany Cartwright Gets Restraining Order Against Jax Taylor After ‘Gut’ Like a Fish Claim

Brittany Cartwright has taken legal action against her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, amid their bitter divorce. She claims Taylor threatened her and physically attacked her during their relationship. A Los Angeles judge has now ordered Taylor to stay away from Cartwright. There is also a custody battle for their young son.

Brittany Cartwright accused Jax Taylor of violent threats amid their nasty divorce

Cartwright filed a domestic violence temporary restraining order Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to TMZ, which obtained the court documents. She says Taylor threatened to “gut me like a f*cking fish” and threatened her life. Cartwright also alleges that he threw furniture at her and caused injuries during physical attacks. The judge ordered Taylor to stay 100 yards away from her.

Cartwright also requested sole custody of their 5-year-old son, Cruz, but the judge denied that request for now. She talked about a pattern of coercive control, financial abuse, emotional abuse, and psychological abuse that lasted for decades. Cartwright also accused Taylor of gaslighting and physical violence. She says that he damaged three iPhones, an iPad and other property inside their house.

The court filing also says Taylor allegedly accessed Cartwright’s iPhone, messages and Instagram account without permission. Cartwright says he deleted messages from her cell phone and removed her $70,000 wedding ring from their house. She also says he threatened to go public with false claims about her. Cartwright alleges that Taylor posted private messages about Cruz on OurFamilyWizard, a site that helps parents manage their children.

Cartwright further claims Taylor called her names including “b*tch,” “c***,” “fat ass b*tch,” “fatty,” “broke ass b*tch” and “wh*re.” She claims he insulted her privately and in front of Cruz. Cartwright also alleges that Taylor used child and spousal support to pressure her and said she had lived on his money. The pair wed in 2019 and Cartwright had divorced in 2024, following their appearance on “Vanderpump Rules” and “The Valley.”
