Donald Trump reposted a lengthy rant by right-wing influencer Matt Van Swol on Truth Social, which slammed his own Republican Party. In the post, Van Swol called out the GOP for failing on several policies and warned of the midterm elections. He also mentioned how even people who don’t care about politics have become angry. This is because he thinks they expected major changes from the party, which the party failed to deliver.
Donald Trump reposts MAGA critic’s angry MAGA rant on Truth Social
Donald Trump shared a screenshot of Matt Van Swol’s tweet on his Truth Social account, with no caption. The tweet in question was published last month, in which the MAGA critic slammed the party for failing to live up to the expectations of people.
He wrote, “I don’t think the GOP fully grasp how badly they are f***ing up right now. I’m talking to people who normally have ZERO interest in politics who are legitimately pissed off. They are not seeing the major reform they thought would happen and are REALLY MAD about it.”
Van Swol then eventually pointed out how no accountability was taken, and mass deportations never happened. He also mentioned how the deficit didn’t see a meaningful decrease. He stated that long vacations were taken, but there was no work done. He further criticized the GOP for failing to pass the bills that ensure the government’s reduced involvement in people’s lives.
He issued a warning about the upcoming elections. Van Swol added, “I’m very worried the GOP is sleepwalking toward a midterm reckoning they don’t see coming. People are pissed off that they voted Trump into office and then the GOP continues to slow-walk every reform people want.”
He further questioned topics such as DOGE Cuts, the SAVE Act, and defunding the Taliban. Van Swol demanded answers as to why bills just disappear in the Senate. He raised questions about the GOP funding left-wing NGO and mass amnesty taking place instead of deportations.
The critic stated that people voted for Trump’s agenda but saw no major difference in the country. He warned that Republicans should start producing tangible results. Otherwise, he feels they could face consequences, and it might be too late to correct course then.
