As per a new report that has surfaced after Hayden Panettiere’s unfortunate demise, the actress suffered from physical pain during her final days. Not only that, she banned her ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, from attending her book signing. For those unversed, first responders reportedly found the “Heroes” alum unresponsive and in cardiac arrest at an Airbnb residence in Greenville, South Carolina. Despite the medical team’s best efforts to resuscitate her, doctors declared Panettiere dead on August 16 at 2:32 p.m.

As per a new report by The New York Times, the late Hayden Panettiere suffered from excruciating pain, likening it to “pins and needles” in her legs during her final days. Moreover, she also gave Barnes & Noble “clear instructions” to keep her ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, “away” during the Manhattan book tour in May. For that reason, the “Nashville” star had also recruited private security.
According to TMZ, his brother, Zach, reportedly was the one who walked in and found Panettiere unresponsive in a chair in the living room.
The Hickerson brothers called 911, and an emergency medical team arrived at 1:50 p.m. Unfortunately, they failed to save Panettiere, and doctors declared her dead at 2:32 p.m. At the time, South Carolina Police announced that they suspected no foul play, and the initial autopsy reportedly revealed no signs of trauma before the actress’s death.
The actress detailed her troubled relationship with Hickerson in her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” released in May. Panettiere spoke about his alleged harsh behavior towards her, which had resulted in three detentions and jail time for her.
The New York Times also quoted Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, who confessed to spending time with her daughter in Los Angeles “when she was in pain. She was afraid. She couldn’t physically function properly.”
As per the outlet, Vogel even took her late daughter to doctors and an acupuncturist to help ease the feeling of “pins and needles” in her legs as well. “The Nashville” star was already struggling with substance misuse in addition to her ailing physical health.
