Prime Video has officially released an exciting trailer for The Terminal List season 2. Chris Pratt will reprise the role of Lieutenant Commander James Reece. The new season arrives four years after the first one, making the gap between seasons one of the longest for a Prime Video original.
The second season is based on Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer. Its story will follow Reece battling “unknown conspiratorial forces seeking to upend the world order”, according to its synopsis.

Chris Pratt’s James Reece takes on a new mission in Season 2
The trailer shows Reece taking on a new mission for the President, who has vowed to pardon him for his crimes. This is relayed to him by the season’s new addition, Gabriel Luna, who plays Freddy Strain. The upcoming season will see Reece uncovering a conspiracy that takes him across the globe, from Moscow to Langley.
The first season received a lukewarm response from critics, but was successful enough for Prime Video to develop and release a prequel, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
David DiGilio serves as the showrunner on The Terminal List season 2. The series is executive produced by Chris Pratt, David DiGilio, author Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams, and Jared Shaw. Besides Pratt, it stars Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, and Shiraz Tzarfati. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media.
Following The Terminal List, Pratt will next star in The Garfield Movie 2, where he’ll return to voice the titular cat. Earlier this year, the actor starred in Mercy and voiced Mario in The Super Mario Galaxy movie.
The Terminal List season 2 will release with all eight episodes on Prime Video on October 21, 2026.
