Hayden Panettiere’s death remains under investigation. Meanwhile, a former neighbor shared disturbing claims about the late actress and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson. The neighbor alleged she witnessed concerning behavior while living next to the couple.

What Hayden Panettiere’s neighbor reported to police

According to The Hollywood Reporter, neighbor Mia Terrazzas told Inside Edition that she called 911 multiple times after hearing repeated disturbances coming from Hayden Panettiere’s West Hollywood apartment. When asked if she believed there were signs of domestic violence, Terrazzas replied, “Oh, absolutely.”

She also recalled seeing Panettiere being taken away on a gurney during a previous incident. Terrazzas claimed the actress appeared frightened and looked like she had suffered injuries consistent with physical trauma. These claims have not been independently verified by authorities.

The neighbors’ concerns reportedly extended beyond emergency calls. Terrazzas alleged that the Homeowners Association briefly posted warning notices. The signs urged residents to call 911 if they saw Hickerson on the property. She said workers removed those notices about a week later.

Panettiere previously detailed accounts of physical abuse involving Hickerson in her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” published earlier this year. Hickerson also served 45 days in jail in 2021 after he pleaded no contest to two felony counts of injuring the actress.

Terrazzas further claimed Hickerson caused damage inside the apartment. She alleged he once used a sledgehammer to destroy part of a bathroom early in the morning. Meanwhile, investigators continue looking into the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death. Police said Hickerson and his brother were present at the South Carolina townhouse when the actress was pronounced dead on Sunday.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Panettiere’s cause and manner of death are yet to be confirmed. Officials also stated there were no obvious signs of trauma. However, authorities reportedly discussed a possible overdose and cardiac arrest during the 911 call. Meanwhile, ABC News reported that the Drug Enforcement Administration has joined the investigation.

Earlier this week, Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, publicly criticized Hickerson, saying she had long wanted him out of her daughter’s life. Filmmaker Griff Furst also claimed that when Hickerson visited Panettiere on the set of A Breed Apart, it was clear to him that “she wasn’t OK.”
