The Sussex return reports put Prince William and Kate Middleton on notice before Kensington Palace stayed silent. The reported homecoming was said to include Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Archie, and Lilibet returning to Britain soon. However, neither Meghan nor Harry has personally confirmed reports of their return to the UK.
The BBC reportedly spoke to a Sussex spokesperson who confirmed the move. A new source claimed the Waleses received “prior warning” before the news emerged.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were reportedly warned ahead of Sussexes’ UK return
According to a GB News report, Kensington Palace had not commented on the Sussexes’ return. However, the outlet said Prince William and Kate Middleton were warned. GB News reported that Meghan and Harry would return to Britain “imminently.”
It also said Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were due to start school in September. The report added that GB News contacted Kensington Palace for comment.
Meanwhile, former BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt gave a sharper reading of the UK return. He said the move opened the prospect of “two rival courts.” Hunt identified those as “William’s and Harry’s.”
He added that Harry could deepen his “rapprochement” with King Charles. However, Hunt said the return would make it harder for William to “duck a reconciliation.” He claimed the surprise likely left William “apoplectic.”
Still, GB News said the family situation remained complicated. The outlet reported that Prince William and Harry were not on speaking terms. It also claimed Diana’s sons had not spoken for years. However, the report said Harry had started rebuilding ties with King Charles. GB News said the Sussexes reunited with the monarch at Highgrove last month.
It added that Archie and Lilibet saw their grandfather for the first time in four years. For Prince William, Kate Middleton, Meghan, and Harry, the return was framed as a palace-silence story rather than a working royal comeback.
