Princess Anne’s Life Away From Royal Duties Is Nothing Like People Expect — TV Personality

Princess Anne has long been known as one of the hardest-working members of the royal family. She undertakes numerous public engagements and charity commitments each year. However, a TV personality revealed that her life beyond royal duties is nothing like the public assumes.

TV personality reveals what Princess Anne’s life is like away from royals

Princess Anne has earned a reputation as the “hardest working royal” due to the sheer volume of engagements she’s undertaken. That said, away from the spotlight, her life at Gatcombe looks nothing like the official duties fans watch her perform.

According to the Daily Express, both royal experts and a famous neighbor claim that the 76-year-old princess enjoys a much calmer existence at her 500-acre property in Gloucestershire. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen told the outlet that he often sees the Princess Royal in a more laid-back setting when reflecting on life in the Cotswolds.

Additionally, King Charles‘ younger sister prefers everyday modes of transport. On several occasions, Llewelyn-Bowen has spotted her at their local Kemble station.

“I’ve met her on the train quite often, yeah we’re on kind of nodding terms. She travels with a few burly but super smart military types, all very very unfussy. No one bats an eyelid, we’re all used to her,” shared the Siddington local. “Prince [now King] Charles used to do it lots as well, at our local station Kemble,” he added.

Princess Anne’s home is Gatcombe Park. Her children, Zara and Peter, have also made their homes there on the wide-ranging estate.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen pointed out that, unlike Oxfordshire with its famous residents, their part of the Cotswolds is informal. People mostly see each other as neighbors and parents, not as celebrities.

Furthermore, royal expert Robert Hardman has also noted that Gatcombe is Princess Anne’s “happy place”. He went on to say: “She’s fundamentally a country person. She’s a very good grandmother, she’s a hands-on but like all grandchildren, I think they can get away with things. She dotes on them.”
