Bethenny Frankel said her summer with daughter Bryn Hoppy had looked different this year as the 16-year-old stayed busy with work, school responsibilities, and travel.
The former Real Housewives of New York City star spoke about Bryn’s schedule during an interview with Us on August 12. Frankel said the teenager had spent time in Greece, attended a short Sotheby’s business program in New York, and had been working during the summer.

Frankel said Bryn had been balancing several commitments while away from school, including summer assignments.
“She’s been working. She was away in Greece. She went away to do a program at Sotheby’s business in New York for just a couple of days,” Frankel told Us Magazine.
Bryn’s schedule had also affected how much time she and her mother could spend together. Frankel said they had still made time for activities, although their days together were different from previous summers.
The pair recently went paddle boarding and had brunch at Babe’s in Sag Harbor. Frankel also said they had spent time together at Sunset Beach and that she had taken Bryn to Surf Lodge twice.
“We’re trying to steal our moments, but it hasn’t been the same,” Frankel said.
Frankel explained that Bryn was no longer a little kid, and her activities during the summer had changed accordingly. Instead of spending entire days together, they had been fitting in shorter outings around their schedules.
Bryn also had a job in fashion and retail. Frankel clarified that the position was not with one of her own companies.
The teenager had also recently learned about the term “nepo baby.” Frankel said Bryn asked her what the phrase meant, which later inspired the name of a sandwich at Frankel’s Supermodel Café in East Quogue, New York.
“I came up with Nepo Baby because she walked into my room,” Frankel said. She had previously described Bryn as disciplined and said she did well in school.
Frankel shares Bryn with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. She said the mother-daughter pair had continued finding opportunities to spend time together despite their different schedules.
