Samsung TV Plus has renewed Keanu Reeves‘ popular docuseries on motorcycle racing. Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project with Keanu Reeves & Gard Hollinger is set to return with a second season under the streamer’s Exclusives banner.
The news of Hooligans’ renewal comes just days ahead of the show’s Season 1 finale on Sunday, August 16. The six-part debut season featured Reeves and Hollinger, the founders of ARCH Motorcycle, as they go from building premium bikes to competing against the top riders of MotoAmerica’s Super Hooligan National Championship. The series also features professional riders Corey Alexander and Jeremy McWilliams with their team.
Salek Brodsky, the SVP & Global Head of Samsung TV Plus, has recently discussed the significance of Reeves’ show for the streamer: “Hooligans had real momentum from day one, and as our first original docuseries, it’s been a defining moment for Samsung TV Plus. Keanu and Gard have built something that captures the thrill of motorcycle culture through character-driven stories about craftsmanship, innovation and pushing boundaries.”
Brodsky continued, “Renewing Hooligans reflects our commitment to premium originals that resonate well beyond the screen.” He said that the streamer is “thrilled to keep building alongside Keanu, Gard and V10 Entertainment.”
Inside Keanu Reeves’ connection to motorcycle culture and racing
Keanu Reeves has been a motorcycle enthusiast since his youth. The actor co-founded ARCH Motorcycle Company with Gard Hollinger in 2011. The company builds and sells premium custom motorcycles.
Reeves talked about his collaboration with Hollinger in a 2019 interview with TODAY. “Over the course of four, five years, he designed and built a motorcycle,” the John Wick star said of Hollinger. “That motorcycle was amazing, he’s amazing. And I said to him, ‘That needs to be in the world. Do you want to start a motorcycle company?’”
“Riding a motorcycle is fantastic,” Reeves said of the hobby. In October 2024, the actor made his motorsport debut in the Toyota GR Cup North America.
