Prince Harry is reportedly concerned about what lies ahead following his recent trip to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex is keen to reconcile with King Charles and the Royal Family, and is urging Meghan Markle to get on board.
Per a source cited by Heat World, “Harry is working overtime to change her mind, and it’s becoming quite the saga as they continue to butt heads over differing priorities. Harry really wants her there with him when he goes in September.”
The insider further said, “He feels like it’s crucial they build on the momentum from the last visit and having her there by his side will send the message loud and clear that they’re both being welcomed back.”
They added that a joint stay at Buckingham Palace would signal King Charles’ approval of Meghan Markle. The 41-year-old believes that it would significantly improve her standing with the UK public.
According to the latest YouGov Ratings, the Duchess of Sussex saw a significant slide in public opinion between April and June 2026. With 18% positive and 61% negative responses, her net approval stood at -43.
This compares to -21 in Q1, when the split was 26% positive to 47% negative. The 22-point decline marks her lowest net rating since YouGov began using its present methodology. Meanwhile, polling after Prince Harry’s five-day trip to the UK in July shows a modest bump for him. The Duke’s approval rose from 30% to 33%.
For the unversed, Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 with Meghan Markle and their son, Prince Archie. The Sussexes now reside in California, where they welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, in 2021.
