Meghan Markle revealed that it is not her husband, Prince Harry, but their daughter, Lilibet, who makes her feel brave. In an exclusive video for InStyle, shared on August 7, the Duchess of Sussex gushed about her five-year-old daughter and the courage she inspires in her.
Markle and filmmaker Alysa Nahmias answered a series of fun questions from children while promoting their documentary, “Cookie Queens.” At one point, a four-year-old girl named Poppy asked: “What makes you feel brave?”
The former actress replied with a sweet smile on her face: “My daughter.” Continuing further, she said: “Every day when I feel a little bit like, ‘Oh gosh, can I do this?’ I go, ‘Lili would do it.’” Nahmias agreed and replied: “I feel the same way about my kids, even though they are bigger now.”
Markle and Nahmias answered more questions. Another child named Tyler asked: “What’s your superpower?” To which the “Suits” star replied: “I mean, I was just thinking it’s being a mom. All moms, I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all, and I don’t know, enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time.”
Another member of the audience asked what she would tell her “little girl” self now. To which Markle answered: “That life is full of surprises.” Fans lavished praise on Markle’s grace and kindness in the comments section.
